ARTISTS NETWORK PRODUCTIONS
People & Skills
This should be the second document you read about our vision. If not, let us know so we can get document 1 to you. The first phase of our endeavor is to network together people interestred or involved in the music business who believe in our vision stated in document 1.
We will be networking initially using the internet. Those who have E-mail and internet access will be the future leaders of this grass-roots movement/business. We will be using everyone who wants to be involved and SHARING the rewards. There are no 'idols' here making millions while thousands of other artists are starving.
Networking on the internet can be sporadic and vague, so we will be starting support groups in every city that has people wanting to get together. Every city has people who have the same goals to produce thier music; they just aren't working together...yet! Some are in pockets, but not on a local and national level.
To accomplish our long-range business goals we are soliciting investors for seed venture capitol. However we can and are building on the grass-root level because these investors charge a high interest rate, and the less we have to borrow, the more we profit. We may be able to do this without investors if enough enthusiasm and participation develops along the way. That would be ideal, we'll see.
PEOPLE
We are looking for people to get involved that have the following skills. Equipment in these areas would be great, but not necessary. use your imagination & if I've left someone/skill out let me know:
1) Computers; web designers, network techs, software designers,
programmers, PC/Mac recording engineers, etc.
2) Recording; MIDI, Analog, DAT, CD, Tape, Mastering, Vinyl, etc.
3) Business; Accountants, Investors, Business plan writers, etc.

5) Musicians; Songwriters, lyricists, singers and musicians, arrangers, composers, dancers, choreographers, etc.
6) Artists; CD cover designers, painters, sculptors, potters, jewelers, 2D & 3D computer artists, animators, etc.

7) Radio stations, DJ's, VJ's, TV stations, cable TV public access,
College stations, etc.
8) Anyone else who wants to be in the music business, or help you.
YOU ARE THE KEY
Everyone knows people. Relatives, friends, home boys, business associates, neighbors, teachers. This is your sphere of influence. They all know people who make up thier sphere of influence. Someone in your sphere or theirs has the talent or equipment or connections to make ANP work in your town. In a few short years those who caught this vision will be collecting checks and playing thier music full time. Let's get going.
You may be thinking; what do I do though? Just keep playing your music, and start getting organized. Think seriously about meeting with those in your areas who want to get in the music business too. There may be a coffee shop that has open mic nite, or a library with meeting rooms. Get together and talk; many towns have songwriter's or poetry clubs. Keep communicating with me and make lists of everyone in your sphere; their skills, equipment etc. You may end up the president of your local branch of ANP, unless you want someone else to; the key is getting organized. You'll never see your music get recorded sitting around waiting to 'be discovered'!
Stay in touch,
Matt
